Hummus

Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained & rinsed

  • ¼ cup tahini (sesame seed paste)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp cumin (optional)

  • 2-3 tbsp water (for desired consistency)

Instructions

  1. In a food processor or blender, combine chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and cumin.

  2. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.

  3. Add water, 1 tbsp at a time, until you reach a creamy consistency.

  4. Add more lemon juice for tang, salt for seasoning, or olive oil for richness.

  5. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with paprika or sesame seeds.
